New York, NY: The Ramapo College women's indoor track and field team captured a second place finish today as they hosted the Ramapo Season Opener at the New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory with teams across all three NCAA Divisions. The Roadrunners tallied 124 points in the meet.
Judanicka Julceus placed first in the 60-meter dash when she clocked in with a time of 8.07, which is tied for 7th on the women's indoor top 10 performances list.
Judlynn Julceus finished right behind her in second place with a time of 8.09, and now eighth on the women's indoor top 10 performances list. Both of the Julceus' times in the 60-meter dash were personal bests. The duo went back-to-back in the 200-meter dash finals as well with Juda. Julceus finishing in fourth place (26.97) and Judl. Julceus finishing in fifth place (27.08).
Meredith Butler captured a second place finish in the 400-meter race when she clocked in at 1:01.32. The time puts her eighth on the women's indoor top ten performances list and bests her own indoor personal best. In the 800-meter run,
Nicole Bertollo placed fourth overall in 2:27.03, which puts her eighth on the women's indoor top 10 performances list.
Alexandra Kyros placed fifth overall in 5:28.55 with a personal best in the mile run. Kyros' time puts her seventh on the women's indoor top 10 performances list.
Jennifer Polo also moved up to seventh place on the indoor performance list when she placed second in the 3,000-meter race with a time of 11:05.75. In the 5,000-meter run,
Jessica Hrnciar clocked in at 20:47.26 for a third place finish.
In the field, Kristina Langan captured a first place finish when she cleared 3.50 meters. Langan's mark qualifies for the AARTFC Championships and is tied for 5th on the indoor top 10 performances list.
Tulasi Dooley placed third in the same of event when she posted a mark of 2.75-meters. In the long jump,
Anna Scarpis finished in second place with a mark of 5.20-meters and puts her seventh on the indoor top 10 list. Scarpis qualified for the AARTFC Championships in the triple jump with a mark of 10.87-meters, which is eighth on the indoor top 10 list. In the throwing events,
Rebecca Perry placed fourth in the weight throw with a personal best mark of 11.85-meters and a fifth place finish in the shot put with a mark of 10.32-meters. Both throws puts her in ninth place on the indoor top 10 list.
The Roadrunners return to action on January 18th at 2pm when they travel to Staten Island, NY for the Gotham Cup hosted at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
