Towson, MD: The Ramapo College field hockey fell to Goucher College 3-2 in a tough non-conference game on the road. The Gophers improve to 1-2 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 1-3 on the year.
Maya Belin assisted on Goucher's first two goals in the game before she hit the back of the cage with under a minute left to put the Gopher's up 3-2. Jackie Jaurez (16:59) scored to put Goucher on the board in the first half before Danielle Johnson added their second goal in the second half (47:22).
Ramapo got on the board in the second half with goals from
Melissa Choka (54:06) and
Claudia Wetzel (59:17) to tie the game at two before the Gophers were able to get the eventual game-winner (69:15) from Belin.

Samantha Stolker posted four saves in the game while Devin Brashear collected six saves for Goucher. The Gophers held a 14-9 advantage in shots while they tallied ten penalty corners to Ramapo's four.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, September 12th when they travel to FDU-Florham for a non-conference game at 7pm.
