Madison, NJ: The Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham field hockey team earned a 3-0 non-conference win tonight over Ramapo College. The Devils improve to 3-1 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 1-3 on the year.
The Devils took a 1-0 lead in the 8th minute of the game (7:17) when Jessica Pietracatella hit the back of the cage. FDU-Florham added two goals in the second half when Cassidy Santorelli scored her second goal of the season, unassisted in the 52nd minute (52:35) before she assisted on the team's third goal of the game. Santorelli and Maggie Sohns each recorded an assist on Allison Attardi's goal to push the lead to 3-0.
FDU-Florham held a 14-2 advantage in shots in the game while they also recorded 12 penalty corners to Ramapo's four.
Samantha Stolker tallied one save in the game for the Roadrunners while Megan March posted one save for the Devils in the final six minutes of the game.
Ramapo will return to action when they host Vassar College on Saturday, September 15th in a non-conference game at 4pm.
