Mahwah, NJ: The College of New Jersey women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College today 4-0 at the Athletic Center in NJAC action. With the road win, the Lions win their third straight and improve to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the NJAC. The Roadrunners now stand at 2-6 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

The Lions, who are ranked #7 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll and #8 in the D3soccer.com Top 25, scored two unassisted goals in the first half to take a 2-0 lead. Taylor Nolan (17:56) and Despina Lianidis (36:06) posted their second and first goals of the season respectively.

Two late goals for TCNJ put them up 4-0 in the second half. Nolan scored her second goal of the game off a pass from Alexa Pestritto (88:46) while Ally Weaver collected her first goal of the year off a pass from Julia Obst following a corner kick in the 89th minute (88:49). TCNJ recorded 31 shots in the game while they held a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Elizabeth Harvell posted four saves in the first half for Ramapo while
Alexandra Kerwin tallied seven saves in the final 45 minutes of the game.

The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to Rutgers-Newark University on Wednesday, September 26th for a NJAC conference game at 7:30pm.
