Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College field hockey team scored six goals by five different Roadrunners in a 6-3 non-conference win over Immaculata University today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners improve to 3-5 overall while the Macs fall to 1-9 on the year.

Claudia Wetzel tallied her third goal of the season in the 22nd minute (21:18) to put the Roadrunners on the board 1-0. Wetzel took a direct pass from
Melissa Choka off a penalty corner at the top of the circle before scoring the team's first goal of the game. The Macs got on the board in the 30th minute (29:02) with a goal from Hilary Burkholder to tie the game 1-1 before
Mariah Tovar pushed the ball past the Macs goalie to take a 2-1 lead as the Roadrunners led heading into halftime.

Autumn Laird opened the second half with a goal off a pass from Tovar, extending the Ramapo lead 3-1 (36:36). Layne Kennedy scored her fifth goal of the season for Immaculata to come within one 3-2 (41:25) before Ramapo scored three straight goals.
Jessica Cacoso connected with
Victoria Ewanis as Ewanis hit the back of the net for her second goal of the season and a 4-2 lead (51:00).
Angela Oskierko (60:51) then scored her first goal of the year, off a pass from Wetzel 5-2 before Laird scored her second goal of the game, unassisted for a 6-2 lead (65:55). The Macs got their final goal of the game off a penalty corner as Macy Green dished the ball off to Shannon Lozier to cut Roadrunner lead in half 6-3 with under two minutes left to play in the game.

Each team collected eight shots each in the first half while the Macs edge Ramapo 19-18 in shots overall. The Macs also posted 21 corners to Ramapo's ten.
Samantha Stolker recorded nine saves in the game while
Melissa Doran posted two defensive saves and
Victoria Ewanis tallied one for the Roadrunners. Randie Kuhar and Jackie Victor each recorded three saves in the game for the Macs.

The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, September 25th when they host Manhattanville College at the Athletic Center at 4:30pm in a non-conference game.
