Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

HUNTER DEFEATS RAMAPO IN NON-CONFERENCE ACTION 3-0

New York, NY: The Hunter College men's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College tonight 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-22) in non-conference action. The Hawks earn their 20th win of the season and now stand at 20-9 overall while the Roadrunners are now 8-18 overall.
 
The Hawks hit .295 in the match with 37 kills on 95 attempts and only nine errors. Hunter was led by Blake Hogan who collected ten kills as he hit .333 in the match. Matthew Zukowski posted nine kills, two aces, seven digs and one assisted block while Austen Rerick contributed with seven kills. Alec Helford dished out a team high 29 assists while he also posted 13 digs to lead the team on defense. Joseph Muir added five assists and 12 digs while Cyrus De Guzman led the team with two assisted blocks.
 
For the Roadrunners, Garrett Fitzsimmons led the way with 12 kills, five digs and two blocks. Paul Close recorded eight kills and seven digs while Terrence Cando collected a team high 11 digs on defense. Lucas Inglis posted a team high 25 assists and Stephen Codispodo added four kills, two digs and two blocks. The team hit .094 in the match with 30 kills on 106 attempts with 20 errors.
 
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to #1 Springfield College. The Roadrunners will take on the Pride at 1pm before going up against MIT at 3pm. Springfield (26-1) is currently ranked #1 in the AVCA Division III Top 15 while MIT (15-8) received votes in the latest poll.
