Florham Park, NJ: The Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham women's lacrosse team defeated Ramapo College 17-6 today in non-conference action. The Knights improve to 9-4 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 5-7 on the year.
Alyssa Tachon scored the first goal of the game for either team putting Ramapo on the board 1-0 in the first four minutes of action off a pass from
Gabi Davidson. FDU scored three straight goals to take a 3-1 lead before Davidson earned her second assist of the game when
Nicole Jaskot hit the back of the net to come within one 3-2. The Devils added two more goals taking a 5-2 lead with under four minutes left to play in the first half.
Beth McGraw tallied her 11th goal of the season off a pass from
Caitlin Ernest with 45 seconds left in the first half to come within two 5-3.
Colleen Manly scored her 11th goal of the year, unassisted to start the second half as the Roadrunners saw themselves only down one goal 5-4 before the Devils took an 8-4 lead with under 20 minutes left to play in the game. Following Tachon's goal on a free position shot for Ramapo's fifth goal of the game, FDU tallied seven straight goals for a 15-5 lead with less than ten minutes left to play. Tachon scored her 24th goal of the season, on a free position shot before FDU added two more goals down the stretch to extend their lead 17-6.

Monica Bubello collected 11 saves in the game while Tachon led the way with three goals.
For the Devils, Megan Nemeth earned the win in the net as she tallied ten saves. Kathleen Petrucelli recorded five goals to lead the team while Cassidy Vastano posted four goals and three assists.
The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to Kean University on Tuesday, April 17th in a NJAC conference game at 4pm.
