Mahwah, NJ: The College of New Jersey women's lacrosse team defeated Ramapo College today 20-3 at the Athletic Center Turf Field. The Lions improve to 10-2 overall and 3-0 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners drop to 5-5 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
The Lions were led by Kathleen Jaeger who tallied a team high seven goals while she added two assists. Allie Gorman added three goals while Olivia Cleale recorded a team high five assists. TCNJ controlled the game with 29 shots to Ramapo's 11.
TCNJ opened the game with back-to-back goals before Ramapo got on the board with an unassisted goal from
Nicole Jaskot to come within one 2-1. The Lions then poured in 12 unanswered goals in the half.
In the second half, the Lions led 15-1 before
Shannon Eagan scored on a free position shot, her 17th goal of the season.
Gabi Davidson added the third goal for Ramapo in the final 2:21 of the game off a pass from
Molly Warner. The Roadrunners have not score more than two goals against the Lions since the 2012 season when they scored three.
Monica Bubello recorded six saves today in the net for the Roadrunners.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, April 14th when they travel to #23 Rowan University for a NJAC matchup at 1pm.
