Throggs Neck, NY: The Ramapo College baseball team defeated Maritime College on the road tonight 9-4 in non-conference action. The Roadrunners snap the Privateers four game win streak and improve to 9-5 overall while Maritime now stands at 9-5 overall.
The Roadrunners got on the board with two runs in the top of the first inning.

Anthony Kuzmenko with a single to left field for the 2-0 lead. The Roadrunners added six runs in the top of the second inning for an 8-0 lead while they scored their ninth run of the game in the third inning.
Ryan MacNaughton led off the second inning with a double before a single from
Nick Cuba put runners on first and third with one out. Cuba stole second before
Joe Maugeri plated MacNaughton with an infield single. Kuzmenko put down a bunt single as Cuba scored and Unglaub reached on a fielder's choice before a walk to Sita loaded the bases with two outs.
Anthony Rocchietti worked a four pitch walk to force home Maugeri.
Liam Duffy and MacNaughton both collected RBI singles while two runs crossed home plate on MacNaughton's single to left field for the 8-0 lead.
The Privateers added one run in the bottom half of the second inning before Cuba recorded his first home run of the season in the top of the third inning, a solo shot over the right field fence, extending the Roadrunner lead 9-1. Maritime added one run in the seventh and two runs in the eighth as Ramapo held a 9-4 lead.
Cory Heitler improved to 3-0 overall with 11 strikeouts and three walks while he scattered four hits over five innings of work. He only surrendered one run.
Jeff Millet worked the sixth and seventh with three strikeouts, three walks while he surrendered one hit and one run scored.
Robert Sartori pitched the final two innings of relief with four strikeouts and no walks. He scattered three hits and let up just two runs. Kuzmenko, Sita, MacNaughton and Cuba all collected two hits each in the game for Ramapo while Cuba and Maugeri each led the team with two runs scored.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host Ursinus College on Sunday, March 25th at 12pm in a non-conference double header at Jeff Maund Field.
