Englewood, FL:  The Ramapo College women's lacrosse team defeated Whitman College 22-10 today at the SpringFling at Ann Dever Park. The Roadrunners (1-2 overall) earn their first win of the 2018 season while junior captain 
Alyssa Tachon recorded her 100th career goal in the first half.  
 
The Roadrunners poured in 13 first half goals and took a 13-8 lead into halftime. Tachon got Ramapo on the board with an unassisted goal before 
Gabi Davidson scored one of her own for a quick 2-0 lead. Following one goal from Whitman's Lindsay Schwartz, Tachon hit the back of the net on a free position shot for her 100th career goal and to take a 3-1 Roadrunner lead. That started a string of four unanswered goals for the Roadrunners as 
Shannon Eagan, 
Ava Rinaldi and 
Molly Warner all scored for a 6-1 lead. Whitman then scored three straight goals, including two from Hannah Miller to come within two 6-4 before 
Colleen Manley and Warner added goals for an 8-4 lead. 
Caitlin Ernest scored an unassisted goal with about eight minutes to go in the half for a 9-4 score before Whitman added two goals of their own to once again come within two 9-6 with under six minutes to play in the first half. Ramapo then put in four straight goals including two from Rinaldi before Schwartz scored back-to-back goals for Whitman to close out the first half.
 
The Roadrunners opened the second half with six straight goals, 
Beth McGraw hit the back of the net on a free position shot before Eagan teamed up with Manley for the second goal. Rinaldi scored on a free position shot before Eagan once again took a pass, this time from Davidson, scoring the 17th goal of the game for a 17-8 lead. Tachon and Ernest scored the next two goals for Ramapo 19-8 before Whitman put in two of their own 19-10. The Roadrunners scored the final three goals of the game one from McGraw, Manley and 
Brianna Himpele for the 22-10 win.
 
Monica Bubello posted 12 saves in the net for the Roadrunners. Rinaldi led the team with four goals in the game including 3-3 in free position shots. Tachon and Eagan added three while Manley, Warner, McGraw, Ernest and Davidson collected two each. Himpele and Jaskot added one.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on March 21st when they travel to Mount Saint Mary College (NY) for a 7pm game.
