Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's basketball team won the 2018 NCAA Division III Sectional Championship in a thrilling 68-66 victory over the Massachusetts Institute of Technology this evening in a game played in the Bradley Center.  With the win, the Roadrunners advance to the Final Four for the second time in program history.  The 1991 Roadrunners finished with a 24-8 overall mark, advancing to the NCAA Final Four. The win also concludes a perfect 14-0 record for the Roadrunners at home this season.

The Roadrunners (25-6) opened the game with the first seven points and would lead by as many as six points (21-15) with eight and a half minutes left, but the Engineers would rally by going on a 20-10 run to claim a 35-31 lead with a little over five minutes left in the half.

Ramapo trailed 37-34 with under two minutes left before the break, but a Nick Stanek layup and a dunk by Christopher Moseley regained the lead for RCNJ.  Moseley completed the and-one play with 36 ticks on the clock and James Long connected on a three-pointers with two second left to rebuild a 44-40 advantage at the break.

Senior Stanek led the Roadrunners with nine points (4-4 from the floor) and four rebounds.  Moseley netted seven points, while Thomas Bonacum contributed eight points.

Ford and Long used back-to-back layups three minutes apart to put Ramapo ahead 61-58 with 4:36 left in regulation, but a Cameron Korb three-point basket and consecutive free throw turned the tide and gave the Engineers a 62-61 edge with 2:36 to play.  Both teams would go back and forth with baskets to deadlock them at 66-66 with 0:49 left in regulation.

A MIT foul with 0:00.9 left put Moseley on the line where he hit two clutch free throws to give the Roadrunners the 68-66 lead and eventual win.
