Mahwah, NJ:  The Rutgers-Camden University women's tennis team defeated Ramapo College 6-3 today at the Athletic Center Tennis Courts in NJAC conference action. The Scarlet Raptors improve to 5-1 overall, 3-1 in the conference while the Roadrunners even their overall record at 3-3 while they stand at 1-2 in the NJAC.
 
Sharon Cherkassky and Marine Uyttenhove earned one team point in doubles action when they won 8-4 at first doubles. Uyttenhove picked up a win at second singles 6-2, 6-3 while Francesca Chicherchia earned a hard-fought win at third singles, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 6th when they travel to Drew University for the two-day NJAIAW Invitational Tournament beginning at 9am.
