Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

#25 ROWAN DEFEATS RAMAPO

Mahwah, NJ:  The Rowan University women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College 6-0 today at the Athletic Center. The Profs improve to 12-1-2 overall, 6-0-2 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners move to 3-12 overall and 1-7 in the conference.
 
Rowan, who are ranked #25 in the D3soccer.com Top 25, remain undefeated in conference action and sit in first place in the conference standings. The Profs got on the board in the first half when Darah Wagner collected her eighth goal of the season off a throw in from Sarah Rosenberg in the 16th minute (15:28). Cathryn McCarry made it 2-0 for the Profs in the 27th minute as Daria Jones earned the assist. Dominique Marrone would score her first goal of the season as Casey Lubonski tallied the assist (34:43) to extend the Rowan lead 3-0 heading into halftime.
 
In the second half, Jones and Wagner teamed up this time Jones notching her first goal of the year (50:35) before McCarry scored her second goal of the game off a pass from Jessica Beck in the 61st minute (60:29). Abby Daigle then pushed the score to 6-0 in the final seconds of the game for her third goal of the year as Marissa Pagano assisted.
 
The Profs recorded 22 shots, 13 on goal in the game while the Roadrunners tallied nine shots in the game and saw six on goal. Shelby Money earned the win in the net for Rowan with two saves in just over 73 minutes of action. Amanda Leber posted four saves for the Profs in the final 17 minutes of the game. Elizabeth Harvell and Alexandra Kerwin split time in the net for the Roadrunners, Harvell posted six saves in the first half while Kerwin tallied one save in the second half.

Ramapo honored their senior class in a pre-game ceremony. Good luck and best wishes to seniors Gabrielle Gentilucci, Skyler Rybacki, Claire Ciemniecki and Jessica Raccioppi.
 
The Roadrunners wrap up the 2018 season at home on Wednesday, October 24th when they host William Paterson University in a NJAC game at 3pm.
