MSU PUSHES WIN STREAK TO FOUR IN 3-0 WIN OVER RAMAPO

Mahwah, NJ:  The Montclair State University women's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-10) tonight at the Bradley Center in NJAC conference action. The Red Hawks move to 11-5 overall, 3-2 in the conference while the Roadrunners now stand at 4-15 overall and 1-3 in the NJAC.
 
The Red Hawks were led by Carly Waterman as she put down 15 kills hitting .283 in the match with two assists and nine digs. Leah Higgins added seven kills, one ace, three digs and one block while Jillian Wilson and Natalia Majkut each contributed with four kills. Majkut led the team with three blocks while Ashley Griffith dished out a team high 26 assists. Griffith added three kills and five digs in the match. Katelyn Monaghan posted a team high 16 digs on defense while April DiAngelo led the team with four aces as she collected eight kills. Alexandra Campos posted 12 digs on defense while she added two assists and one ace. The Red Hawks tallied 35 total kills in the match as a team.
 
For the Roadrunners Felicia Jimenez led the team with seven kills while she added one block and one dig. Morgan Ridgway tallied six kills, seven digs and one block while Hannah Frascella recorded six kills, four digs and three blocks. Aniella Bednarz posted four kills, one dig and one block while Samantha Main led the way with four blocks, matching her season high. On defense, Krisitina Semple posted a team high 15 digs while Anna Granquist collected nine and Sara Correa posted eight. Ramapo posted 25 team kills in the match.
 
Ramapo returns to action on Friday, October 5th when they travel to Patchogue, NY for the St. Joseph's College (LI) Invitational. The Roadrunners will face the College of Staten Island at 6pm.
