RAMAPO EARNS TWO WINS 3-0 OVER WELLS & SAGE

Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team earned two shutout victories today over Wells College and the Sage Colleges today in non-conference action at the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners now stand at 8-18 on the season.
 
Ramapo 3, Wells 0 (29-27, 25-13, 25-23)
The Roadrunners hit .214 as a team in the match with 45 kills on 131 attempts and 17 errors. Hannah Frascella hit .462 in the match with a team leading 12 kills on 26 attempts and no errors. She also recorded nine digs and one block. Samantha Main led the team with three blocks while she hit .412 in the match with eight kills on 17 attempts and just one error. Felicia Jimenez also recorded eight kills while she added two blocks and one dig. Kate Shirkey tallied 24 assists to lead the team while she also posted ten digs and one ace. Kristina Semple posted 15 digs on defense to lead the team while Juliana Paslawsky added 15 assists of her own in the match. Aniella Bednarz posted six kills, one ace and two blocks, including one solo block.
 
For the Express (11-10 overall), were led by Rachel Anderson who posted 11 kills to hit .450 in the match on 20 attempts and two errors. Jazzmyne Williams added eight kills and 12 digs while Jackie Allen tallied seven kills, two blocks and 12 digs. Lorissa Parks recorded 12 kills of her own in the match while she added 11 assists. Jordan Stoops dished out a team high 18 assists while she added two aces and six digs. Wells hit .101 in the match with 37 kills on 129 attempts and 24 errors.
 
Ramapo 3, Sage 0 (25-10 25-19, 25-14)
The Roadrunners were once again led by Frascella who recorded a team high 11 kills while she added 11 digs. Morgan Ridgway tallied ten kills, three assists and 17 digs while Jimenez added eight kills, two aces and four digs. Main hit .583 in the match with seven kills on 12 attempts and no errors, she also added two blocks including one solo block. Bednarz posted seven kills, two aces, four digs and one solo block in the match. Shirkey dished out a team high 29 assists while adding seven digs and two aces. Semple posted a team high 19 digs on defense and recorded three assists while Paslawsky tallied nine digs. Nathalie Ortiz recorded four kills, two digs and one block in the match. Ramapo recorded 47 kills as a team to hit .291 in the match on 127 attempts and just ten errors.
 
For the Gators (5-18 overall), Gabby Rowell posted five kills and one block while Miranda Nethaway and Emma Parkington each tallied four kills of their own. Parkington posted a team high eight assists while she added nine digs. Megan Ryder recorded a team high 19 digs on defense while Lidia LoPorto recorded 13 digs, one kill and one assist. The team hit .044 in the match with 18 total kills on 113 attempts and 13 errors.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, October 16th when they travel to Rutgers-Camden University for a NJAC conference match at 7pm.
