Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

ROADRUNNERS POST TOUGH LOSS TO RUTGERS CAMDEN

Camden, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's soccer team fell short to the Scarlet Raptors of Rutgers Camden, 1-2 today on the road in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match-up.  With the loss the Roadrunners fall to 4-7 overall on the year and 1-3 in the conference.  Rutgers Camden gets their fourth win of the season at 4-5-1 and gets their first conference win to improve to 1-2-1.
 
Aaron Muse gave the Scarlet Raptors a 1-0 lead with a goal at 6:32.  It was assisted by Marcial Islas-Marroquin.  Ramapo's Edward Franzoni would knot the game at 29:35 on an unassisted goal, his third of the season, to close out the first half at 1-1.
 
Ramapo out shot the Scarlet Raptors 7-5 in the first 45 minutes of play while Ryan Sprague made one save. 
 
At the 52:54 minute mark, Antonio Romero would score what turned out to be the game winner off an assist from Vincenzo Masitti.
 
The Roadrunners again led in shots, 7-6 in the half.  Bryan Jones, Jr. closed out the game for Ramapo with one save and one goal against taking the loss, while James Brett got the win for Rutgers Camden making four saves in the game.  The Roadrunners also led in corner kicks, 2-0 and shots on goal, 5-4.
 
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, October 4th when they host CNY at 3:30pm at the Athletic Center.
