Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team shutout NJAC rival Stockton University today 1-0 at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners improve to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the NJAC while the Ospreys drop to 3-5-1 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
Senior
Amber Hermanns recorded her team leading fifth goal of the season late in the second half off a pass from
Nani Vizcaino to put the Roadrunners up 1-0 with just under 12 minutes to play. Hermanns goal proved to be the game-winner as the Ramapo defense was able to hold the Ospreys to no shots in the game.
Ramapo posted seven shots in the game while each team collected three corner kicks.
Elizabeth Harvell earned the shutout win while she did not see a shot on goal.
The Roadrunners travel to NJAC rival William Paterson University (4-3, 0-1 NJAC) on September 27th for a 7pm game. Ramapo will look to avenge a 6-2 loss to the Pioneers during the 2016 season.
