Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College field hockey team, behind a game winner from Melissa Choka, shut out the Giants of Keystone College, 2-0 today at the Athletic Center.  With the win the Roadrunners improve to .500 at 4-4 while Keystone falls to 3-4.
 
Choka got Ramapo on the board in the 19th minute on an unassisted goal as the Roadrunners out shot the Giants 5-3 in the first 35 minutes of play.  Emily Wisneski made three saves in the half while Megan Novak blocked four for Keystone in a 26 minute appearance. 
 
In the second half, Ashley Lawson capitalized on a penalty stroke to put the Roadrunners ahead, 2-0 at 38:29, a score which stood until the final buzzer.
 
Keystone led in shots in the second half, 7-5 and Wisneski made six saves for Ramapo.  Emily Hawkins finished out the game in the cage for the Giants making three saves with one goal against.
 
Ramapo returns to action on September 27th when they travel to Manhattan College at 4pm.
