Wayne, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team earned an 8-1 win over NJAC rival William Paterson University today on the road. The Roadrunners improve to 4-1 overall, 3-1 in the NJAC while the Pioneers fall to 0-5 overall and 0-4 in the conference.
For the Roadrunners,
Marine Uyttenhove and
Francesca Chicherchia earned an 8-3 at first doubles before Uyttenhove posted a 6-2, 6-0 win at first singles and Chicherchia posted a 6-2, 6-2 win at second singles.
Megha Mehta and
Alexa Reeve continued to team up at second singles and posted an 8-0 shutout win while
Christine Bednarz and
Lisa Zazi came away with a hard faught 8-5 victory at third doubles.
The Roadrunners will return to action at home on Friday, September 22nd with a non-conference match against Hunter College at 4pm. The Roadrunners defeated the Hawks on the road 9-0 during the 2016 season.
