Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team shut out John Jay College 2-0 today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners even their overall record at 3-3 overall while the Bloodhounds fall to 2-4 on the year.

The Roadrunners dominated the game with 28 shots including 11 on goal. Ramapo also tallied ten corner kicks in the game. The Bloodhounds posted seven shots and three on goal.

Justin Charkowski put a header into the back of the net off a corner kick from senior
Trevor Albrecht for his first goal of the season to take a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute of action. Â Ramapo posted 15 shots to John Jay's three in the first half while rookie goalie
Bryan Jones, Jr. tallied one save.

Joseph Fala made it 2-0 in favor of the Roadrunners in the 63rd minute (62:35) of the game. He collected the ball 30-yards out and ripped a shot into the upper 90 of the net to score his first goal of the season. In the second half Ramapo added 13 more shots in the game while the Bloodhounds recorded four more of their own. Jones posted two more saves including a diving save late in the game ending up with three saves in his collegiate debut.

The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, September 20th when they host Old Westbury in a non-conference game starting at 4pm. Ramapo defeated the Panthers during the 2016 season 4-0 on the road. Albrecht scored one goal in the game while now senior
Ryan Sprague tallied four saves in the shutout.
