Montclair, NJ: The Red Hawks of Montclair State defeated the Ramapo College women's soccer team, 4-0 today in the 2017 NJAC season opener on the road. With the win the Red Hawks improve to 2-2-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference while Ramapo falls to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
Montclair led 1-0 at the half where the Red Hawks held an 8-1 lead in shots. Molly Barrow made one save in net while
Elizabeth Harvell made three for Ramapo. Montclair's lone goal of the half was collected by Emily Beenders.
In the final half the Red Hawks added three more goals to earn the 4-0 shut out win over Ramapo. The Red Hawks again led in shots, 8-2 while Harvell added three more saves. Barrow collected one save in the final 45 minutes of play.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, September 23rd when they host Stockton University at 1pm at the Athletic Center.
