Mahwah, NJ:  The #5 seeded Kean University baseball team defeated #2 seeded Ramapo College in the opening game of the 2017 NJAC Baseball Tournament today at Jeff Maund Field.

The Roadrunners (22-15) move on to play in game four of the tournament that begins on Friday, May 5th at noon at Kean University's Jim Hynes Stadium. Ramapo will go up against #6 William Paterson University in an elimination game. Kean (23-17) advances to play in game six against #3 Rowan University in a game at 7pm.

Joe Maugeri led off the bottom of the first inning with a single before moving to second on a sac bunt from Austin Unglaub. Rob DeAngelis was intentionally walked before Brandon Martinez laced a hard hit single through the left side of the infield allowing Maugeri to come around and score for a 1-0 lead.
