Ewing, NJ: The College of New Jersey women's lacrosse team defeated Ramapo College 17-1 today to remain undefeated in NJAC action at 4-0. The Lions also improve to 11-1 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 5-8 overall and 0-4 in the conference.
The Lions, who are ranked #1 in NCAA Division III by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association, scored 12 first half goals and added five in the second half as Alex Fitzpatrick, Kasey Donoghue and Mia Blackman all tallied hat tricks for TCNJ. Olivia Cleale, Allie Gorman, Kathleen Jaeger and Amanda Muller all collected two goals each in the game.
Ramapo scored their lone goal in the first half when
Ava Rinaldi hit the back of the net off a pass from
Molly Warner. Rinaldi tallied her 18th goal of the season for the Roadrunners while Warner recorded her team leading eighth assist of the year. TCNJ has only let up five conference goals this season.
Miranda Chrone recorded two saves in the win for TCNJ while Alexa Natalicchio did not need to record a save in the final 30 minutes. The Lions held a 29-6 advantage in shots in the game.
Monica Bubello posted seven saves in the net for Ramapo.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host Rutgers-Camden University on Saturday, April 22nd in a NJAC game at 2pm.
