Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College baseball team moved to 14-14 on the year with a 5-4 non-conference win over St. Joseph's College-LI today at Jeff Maund Field.

The Roadrunners got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning with three runs to take the lead.
Joe Maugeri led off with a single before
Rob DeAngelis walked.
Brandon Martinez drove home Maugeri with a RBI single to center field for a 1-0 score. DeAngelis advanced to third on a fly out before
Bobby Shannon drove them both home with a double to left-center field 3-0.

Ramapo added one run in the sixth inning when
Austin Unglaub walked to leadoff and later scored on a balk to make it 4-0. Shannon scored what turned out to be the game winning run in the seventh, extending the Roadrunner lead 5-0 when he scored on an error.

The Golden Eagles (17-9) made it interesting in their final two at bats by scoring four runs. In the eighth they got on the board with one run. Andrew Libertelli led off with a walk before Dylan Piscitelli drove him home with a RBI fielder's choice. St. Joesph's held Ramapo in the bottom of the eighth as the Roadrunners left three runners on base. The Golden Eagles would come back with three runs on four hits in the top of the ninth. Libertelli and Paul Britt each recorded RBI singles to make it 5-3 before
Greg Westhelle entered the game on the mound for Ramapo with one out and runners on first and second. Westhelle induced a ground out for the second out. Tyler Costa then poked a single into right field plating Libertelli with the fourth run to come within one 5-4. Westhelle then got a strike out swinging to end the game and earn his second save of the season.

Tyler Lombardo (1-1) let up only one hit over seven innings earning the win on the mound. He struck out three and walked five. Shannon led the Roadrunners at the plate finishing 3-4 with one run scored and two RBI. Both Shannon and
Connor Walsh collected their 100th career hit in their final at bat of the game.
Ramapo returns to action when they travel to NJAC rival William Paterson University on Thursday, April 20th for a 3:30pm game.
