MANHATTANVILLE COMES BACK TO DEFEAT RAMAPO 10-8

Mahwah, NJ: The Manhattanville College women's lacrosse team came back with six unanswered goals in the second half to defeat Ramapo College 10-8 in non-conference action at the Athletic Center. The Valiants improve to 3-2 overall while the Roadrunners now even their record to 3-3 on the year.
 
The Valiants got on the board in the first half with a goal from Kat Reilly in the first two minutes of action before Ramapo scored three unanswered goals for a 3-1 lead. Colleen Manley tallied back-to-back goals to put the Roadrunners on the board before Ava Rinaldi added her ninth goal of the season for the two-goal lead 3-1.  Carly Weiss scored her team leading 11th goal of the season to come within one before Nicole Jaskot scored on a free position shot for a 4-2 lead. Reilly put one in the net for the Valiants to once again close the lead to one while Molly Warner and Gabi Davidson hit the back of the net for the Roadrunners for a three goal lead 6-3 with just under eight minutes to play in the first half. Jenna Nance put in the final goal of the half for Manhattanville before Warner connected with Davidson with a goal, extending the Roadrunner lead 7-4.
 
In the second half, the Valiants came back to take a 9-8 lead with 11 minutes to play in the game. Following one goal at the start of the second half by Ramapo's Manley, her 15th of the year to take an 8-5 lead, Manhattanville scored six unanswered goals. The eventual game-winning goal came with Sarah Dalsey took a pass from Weiss to score her fifth goal of the season with 11:07 left in the game. Weiss then added an insurance goal with three seconds left off a pass from AnnaMarie Nardone for the 10-8 lead.
 
The Valiants held a 28-19 advantage in shots while Ramapo collected ten saves to Manhattanville's four. Monica Bubello made some amazing defensive saves for the Roadrunners in the net as she collected all ten saves in the game. Bella Marchiselli posted four saves for the Valiants.
 
The Roadrunners return to action when they host Old Westbury at the Athletic Center on Saturday, March 25th at 1pm in a non-conference game
