Riverdale, NY: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team defeated the Dolphins of Mt. St. Vincent College, 3-2 (25-17, 24-26, 25-17, 19-25, 15-5) tonight to improve to 9-6 overall behind an offensive performance from
Paul Close. The Dolphins fall to 5-9 overall.
Close collected 17 kills in the win as he hit .191 with eight errors on 47 attempts.
Justin Feigeles and
Connor Brandow contributed 11 kills each in the win as the team hit a combined 54-153 with 30 errors hitting .157 on the night.
Nick Amos added seven kills and
Jordan Elam added six in the win.
Garrett Fitzsimmons dished out 42 assists and Close led with five assisted blocks as Terrance Cando led the defense with 22 digs. Feigeles picked up 13 digs, Close 11, and Fitzsimmons added nine on the night.
For Mt. St. Vincent, Tyler Cucullu led the Dolphins with 20 kills and Neven Skoblar added seven as the team went 41-154 with 35 errors hitting .039 in the loss. Logan Dickover dished out 33 assists and picked up 11 digs while Cucullu picked up 11 digs of his own on the night.
The Roadrunners return to action on Sunday, March 5th when they host Nazareth and Medgar Evers in a tri-match-up starting at 10am at the Bradley Center.
