Throggs Neck, NY:  The Ramapo College women's lacrosse team defeated Maritime College tonight 15-4 in their season opener.
The Roadrunners (1-0) scored ten goals in the first half and held Maritime to no goals. 
Alyssa Tachon tallied six straight goals for the Roadrunners in the first half to open her junior season. 
Colleen Manley added three goals in the half while 
Monica Torres also recorded a goal in the first half.
In the first half, Manley scored her fourth goal of the game unassisted before Nicole Jasko hit the back of the net to put Ramapo up 12-0. Maritime (0-1) got on the board with a goal of their own in the 23rd minute when Krista Deleva scored her first goal of the season. 
Brianna Himpele, 
Katie Duca and Manley each scored in the second half for Ramapo while Maritime posted three more goals in the second half. Deleva, Christa Case and Ciara Murphy all recorded a goal.
Taylor Marcialis posted three saves in the game for Ramapo to earn the win. Esmeralda Hernandez posted eight saves for Maritime.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, March 8th when they travel to Mount Saint Mary College for a 6pm non-conference game.
