KEAN USES BALANCED OFFENSIVE ATTACK IN 3-1 WIN

Mahwah, NJ:  The Kean University women's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College 3-1 (25-18, 22-25, 25-16, 25-13) tonight at the Bradley Center. The Cougars improve to 16-5 overall and remain undefeated in the NJAC at 5-0 while the Roadrunners now stand at 13-6 overall and 3-1 in the conference.
 
Kean used a balanced offensive attack as four Cougars recorded double digit kills in the match. They were led by Joelle Tondi who posted 18 kills and 16 digs while Jesse Larkin collected 13 kills. Vikki Stec added 12 kills and 15 digs while Sara Ridgway led the team hitting .318 in the match with 11 kills on 22 attempts and only four errors. She also posted two blocks. Kortnee Nelson collected a team high 26 digs on defense for the Cougars while Brianna Calvano dished out a team high 54 assists. Nelson also led the team with three aces. The team hit .222 in the match with 61 kills on 162 attempts and 25 errors.
 
For the Roadrunners, Larysa Iwaskiw posted a team high 23 kills while she added three assists and 16 digs. Judy Errichetti collected ten kills; four digs and one block while Samantha Main led the team with three blocks on the night. Hanna Frascella contributed with four kills; four digs and two blocks while Karina Almeda led the team on defense with 17 digs. Sarah Mulligan added ten digs in the match and Sara Correa posted 14 assists of her own. The team hit .103 in the match with 39 kills on 156 attempts and 23 errors.
 
The Roadrunners currently sit in second place in the NJAC and return to action on Tuesday, October 10th when they travel to conference rival Montclair State University for a 7pm matchup. Ramapo defeated the Red Hawks during the 2016 regular season while MSU came back to defeat the Roadrunners in the NJAC Championship match.
