Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team defeated Rutgers-Camden University 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-20) tonight at the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners improve to 17-6 overall, 7-1 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raptors now stand at 15-14 overall, 3-5 in the conference.
The Roadrunners clinch the second seed and receives a bye into the semifinal round. Ramapo will host the match on November 4th at 7pm at the Bradley Center against the winner of #3 Stockton and #6 Rutgers-Camden. This is the 13th straight season the women's volleyball team has earned a birth into the Tournament.
Ramapo was led by
Larysa Iwaskiw who posted 16 kills, 17 digs and two aces while
Judy Errichetti added nine kills, three digs, and one block.
Lena Husslein added five kills, and two blocks including a solo block while
Sarah Mulligan posted 17 digs in the match.
Sara Correa and
Kate Shirkey split setting duties while Correa dished out a team high 20 assists and Shirkey tallied 17 of her own. The team hit .161 in the match with 41 kills on 124 attempts and 21 errors.
The Scarlet Raptors were led by Jordan Erskine who recorded nine kills, there digs and a team high four blocks. Cortnee Wilkerson added seven kills, two aces and ten digs while Natalie DiGiacomo collected a team high 19 digs on defense. The team hit .085 in the match with 28 kills on 118 attempts and 18 errors.
