Glassboro, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team defeated NJAC rival Rowan University tonight on the road, 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-18). The Roadrunners improve to 16-6 overall, 6-1 in the NJAC while the Profs drop to 11-14 overall, 3-4 in the conference.
Larysa Iwaskiw led Ramapo as she tallied 25 kills in the match while she recorded nine digs, two aces and one assist.
Judy Errichetti hit .267 in the match with five kills on 15 attempts and only one error while she added five digs.
Lena Husslein hit .600 in the match with three kills on five attempts and no errors while she was tied on the team with two solo blocks.
Samantha Main posted three kills, two solo blocks and
Sarah Mulligan posted a team high 17 digs in the match.
Kate Shirkey dished out a team high 22 assists while
Sara Correa added 13 of her own. The team hit .217 in the match with 43 kills on 129 attempts and 15 errors.
Rowan was led by Taylor Modica who posted eight kills while Megan Jacobi and Lauren Horbacewicz added five kills a piece in the match. Katelyn Paxson and Troi Mock each recorded 11 digs to lead the team on defense while Amy Staiber added ten digs of her own. Paxson led the team with 14 assists while Mock dished out ten. The Profs hit .165 in the match with 30 kills on 103 attempts and 13 errors.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, October 24th when they host Rutgers-Camden University in the final conference match of the season at 7pm. The team will honor their senior class in a pre-match ceremony.
