Madison, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team competed at the NAIAW Invitational Tournament hosted by Drew University on Saturday, September 30th through Sunday, October 1st.

In A-singles action,
Marine Uyttenhove earned an 8-4 win over Kira Bradley fro FDU-Florham in the quarterfinals to move onto the semifinals.
Francesca Chicherchia fell to Nicole Del Rosso 8-1 in the quarterfinals before she bounced back with an 8-4 win in the consolation round over Kaworu Ishikawa. Uyttenhove fell to Del Rosso in the semifinals, which was the eventual singles winner, 8-1.

In B-singles action,
Alexa Reeve and
Megha Mehta each fell 8-0 in their matches. Mehta defeated Arrion Berry of William Paterson, 8-1, in the consolation round. In C-singles play,
Lisa Zazi shut out Samantha Uribe of William Paterson, 8-0 before she fell to Christina Christodoulou from host Drew, 8-2 in the semifinals.

Chicherchia and Mehta won 8-6 in the A-doubles round over Russo and Wolf of FDU-Florham to move onto the semifinals with teammates Uyttenhove and Sharon Cherkassy who also won their quarterfinal round 8-1. Uyttenhove and Cherkassy posted an 8-2 win in the semifinals to move onto the championship round before they fell in a tough 8-6 match to Camel and Witten from Drew. Chicherchia and Mehta lost 8-0 in the semifinal to the eventual champions from Drew. In the round of 16, Reeve and Zazi fell 8-2 before they fell 8-0 in the consolation round.

The Roadrunners return to action on Monday when they host Lehman College in a non-conference match at 4pm.
