Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team won two matches on the final day of the Roadrunner Invitational. Ramapo defeated Mount Saint Mary College 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-11) in match one and posted a 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-23) over New Paltz in the final match of the day. Ramapo improves to 10-3 overall. The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, September 20th when they host NJAC rival William Paterson University at the Bradley Center at 7pm.

In their first match of the day,
Larysa Iwaskiw led the Roadrunners with 14 kills on 40 attempts hitting .250 in the match. She also recorded two aces and nine digs.
Emily Guzman added eight kills on 18 attempts to hit .333 while
Judy Errichetti posted six kills of her own in the match.
Kate Shirkey and
Rachel Selmore recorded 15 and 13 assists respectively while
Karina Almeda led the team on defense with 11 digs. Ramapo hit .275 in the match with 39 kills. Mount Saint Mary tallied 20 kills as a team while Megan Williams led the Knights with six kills. Kim Gries recorded 13 assists and Madelyn Barberan posted a team high 18 digs. The Knights hit .021 in the match

Against New Paltz, Iwaskiw once again led the team with 24 kills as she hit .321 in the match. She also tallied 11 digs and one block. Guzman posted seven kills hitting .429 while she added three digs and one solo block. Errichetti added five kills and one solo block while Shirkey led the team with 22 assists. Selmore posted 14 assists of her own and Almeda led the team on defense with 12 digs. Ramapo hit .302 in the match – the best in their last four matches – with 43 kills on 106 attempts. New Paltz hit .156 as a team with 37 kills on 109 attempts. Morgan Roessler led the Hawks with 14 kills while Meghan Keyes added nine of her own. Zwickl posted a match high 34 assistes and Meg Kinee posted a team high 11 digs.

The Devils defeated Hawks 3-2 (25-14, 14-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-11) as Melissa Gaffney led the team with 15 kills and Kate Quinlan and Marissa Lehnert each contributed with eight kills. Brianna Perone led the team with 23 assists while Rachel Catena tallied a team high 27 digs. For Hunter, Julia Connolly led the team with 21 kills while Taylor Kerr-Haiduk posted 16 of her own. Breanna Banske dished out a team high 36 assists and Haley Trunkett posted a match high 34 digs.

New Paltz defeated Hunter (25-23, 25-15, 25-23) as Anna Paulik led New Paltz with eight kills. Maddie Zwickl dished out a team high 23 assists while Veronica Matedero posted a team high 16 digs. For Hunter, Connolly posted 12 kills hitting .290 in the match while Banske recorded 20 assists and Trunkett led the team with 15 digs while Miranda Hogan added 12 of her own.

The Devils defeated the Knights 3-0 (25-22, 27-25, 25-22). FDU-Florham was led by Lauren Harris and Melissa Gaffney with 12 and ten kills respectively. Kate Quinlan added nine kills of her own while Courtney Conte dished out a team high 29 assists. Rachel Catena led the team with four aces and 25 digs. Marissa Lehnert posted a team high five total blocks, including two solo blocks. The Knights were led by Rachel Sabatini with 13 kills while Megan Williams posted ten of her own. Gries recorded 30 assists in the match and tallied six digs while Angelia Cirigliano posted a team high 20 digs.
