Madison, NJ:  The Ramapo College field hockey team fell to 2-2 overall on the year today as they suffered a tough 7-0 loss to the Devils of FDU-Florham on the road in a non-conference face off.
 
The Devils held Ramapo to just three shots on target, while FDU-Florham ripped 31 shots, 17 in the first half and 14 in the last 35 minutes of play.  Samantha Rubin played the entire game for the Devils in the cage and earned the shut out to improve to 3-2 overall on the year.  Rubin went untested in the game while Emily Wisneski played the 70-minute match-up for Ramapo blocking 20 shots.
 
The Devils would go ahead 3-0 in the first half with goals coming from Erin O'Connell, Kim Davis, and Brooke Sherwin.  Davis also earned an assist on the first goal, the game winner, and Marissa Kowalskie and Chrissy Penney each contributed an assist in the half.
 
In the final period, Sherwin scored her second of the game just one minute into the half before Penny collected a goal of her own to go ahead, 5-0.  Cassidy Santorelli and Kowalskie each collected a goal rounding out the scoring with FDU-Florham ahead, 7-0 at the final buzzer.
 
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, September 17th when they travel to Vassar College for a 1pm non-conference match-up.
