Westfield, Mass: The Ramapo College women's track and field team competed at the two day ECAC Championships where they placed 44th overall as a team with ten members earning the bid to compete.
Na'Shimah Allen,
Alicia Green,
Emily Croonquist, and
Kelly Koss joined forces in the 4x400 meter relay earning 8th place overall. The four clocked in at 4:02.33 on day one of the two day championships.
In the field,
Emily Shipley brought home 10th place overall in the pole vault. She cleared 3.46 meters while
Melanie Odatalla and
Rebecca Carra placed 11th and 22nd respectively in the javelin. Odatalla hit 36.73 meters and Carra finished the event with a mark of 34.10 meters.
On day two,
Jessica Cusick placed 5th in the high jump as she cleared 1.64 meters, while
Paris Hughes ran the 1,500-meter run in 4:46.33 for 19th place overall. Allen clocked in at 58.74 seconds in the 400-meter dash and 25.95 seconds in the 200-meter dash earning 14th and 15th place respectively.
Mariah Blanton also ran the 200-meter dash where she earned 13th place crossing the finish line in 25.89 seconds.
Ramapo returns to action on May 26th when selected members of the team will compete for a national title at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Waverly, Iowa.
