Mahwah, NJ: The Stevens Institute of Technology men's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College tonight 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-14) at the Bradley Center. The Ducks, who are ranked #4 in the latest AVCA Top 15 Poll, improve to 25-4 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 15-13 on the year.
The Ducks were led by Tim Ferriter who hit .529 in the match with ten kills on 17 attempts and only one error, along with a team leading ten digs on defense. Jordan Staurt and Thomas Burrell each collected six kills while Stuart tallied seven assisted blocks. Scott Russell dished out 28 assists and recorded six digs in the match. Stevens hit .240 for the match with 30 kills on 75 attempts and 12 errors while they also recorded 13 team blocks.
Paul Close led the Roadrunners with 12 kills hitting .333 in the match with seven digs and one assisted block.
Connor Brandow added six kills, two aces, two digs and two total blocks.
Nick Amos and
Justin Feigeles added four kills while
Mikhael Erushalimski dished out a team high 24 assists. Terrance Cando led the team on defense with ten digs while Close recorded seven of his own.
The Roadrunners return to action this weekend when they travel to Sarah Lawrence University for a Skyline tri-match along with New Jersey City University. Ramapo will take on host Sarah Lawrence at 11am before going up against NJCU at 1pm.
