Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's basketball team defeated NJAC rival Rutgers-Camden University 89-64 tonight at the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners improve to 16-8 overall, 12-5 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raptors fall to 3-21 overall, 1-6 in the conference.
The Scarlet Raptors scored the first two baskets of the game to take a 4-0 lead before Ramapo would go on a 27-0 run to take a 27-4 lead.
Christopher Moseley started the run with a made basket following a Ramapo time out while the Roadrunner defense forced 12 Rutgers-Camden turnovers during the run.
Jermaine Peart put the Roadrunners up 27-4 with 9:37 on the clock before the visitors got their third basket of the game with nine minutes to play with a jumper from Abby Rah. Moseley put down a dunk off a pass from

Frank Nock hit a jumper to take a 25-point lead 31-6 with under 7:20 to play. Ramapo saw their biggest lead of the half when
Thomas Bonacum sank a pair of free throws for a 44-13 lead. The Scarlet Raptors went on a 12-2 run to end the half down 46-25.
In the second half, the Roadrunners continued to hold a double-digit lead and matched their game high of 31 points with 7:44 on the clock when
David Haye recorded a three-pointer to take a 79-50 lead. Ramapo held on the rest of the way for the home NJAC win89-64. The Roadrunners forced 31 turnovers in the game that resulted in 28 points for Ramapo. The team shot 44% (35-78) from the field, 46% (6-13) from the three-point line and 76% (13-17) from the free throw line. Nock led the way on offense with 20 points and three steals while Bonacum added 18 points and six rebounds, including 2-2 from beyond the three-point line. Moseley ended the game with a double-double, 17 points and 12 rebounds while Peart added ten points and three rebounds.
For Rutgers-Camden, Jon Baker-Jernigan led the team with 21 points while John Tatem added a double-double of his own, 11 points and ten rebounds. Elijah Robles posted ten points and dished out five assists in the game. The team shot 35% (23-64) from the field , 28% (9-32) from the three-point line and 75% (9-12) from the free throw line.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, February 17th when they host Rutgers-Newark University for a NJAC at 7:30pm. The team will honor it's senior class prior to the start.
