Newark, NJ: The Ramapo College men's basketball team remained undefeated with a 68-46 NJAC road win over Rutgers-Newark University tonight at the Golden Dome. The Roadrunners now stand at 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raiders fall to 2-7 overall, 2-2 in the conference.

Sultan Aminu led Ramapo with 17 points while junior
Christopher Moseley posted 14 points and
Thomas Bonacum added 13 points, three assists and two blocks. Aminu also led the team with seven rebounds while rookie
Connor Romano tallied seven points including 2-2 from the three-point line. The Ramapo defense forced 25 Scarlet Raider turnovers in the game leading to 30 points for the Roadrunners. Ramapo shot 59% (28-47) from the floor, 50% (4-8) from beyond the three-point line and 50% (8-16) from the free throw line.

Rutgers-Newark scored the first basket of the game before Ramapo's Aminu put the team on the board with a jumper off a dish from Bonacum to tie the game at two. The Scarlet Raiders went ahead two before Ramapo went on a 7-0 run capped off by a layup from Moseley to take a 9-4 lead. The Scarlet Raiders cut the lead to two 15-17 with 9:17 left in the first half. Romano then sank back-to-back three-pointers to start an 11-3 run to end the half taking a 28-19 lead into halftime.

Ramapo did not give up the lead in the second half as they jumped out to a double-digit lead with 18:55 left in the game. The Scarlet Raiders cut the lead to nine with 11:43 on the clock before Ramapo went on a 15-2 run, extending their lead 58-36 with six minutes on the clock. The Roadrunners took their biggest lead of the game when Ford converted an and-one play with a layup off a dish from
James Long. Ford sunk the free throw for 29-point lead, 68-39. The Scarlet Raiders ended the game on a 7-0 run.

Landon Gaines led Rutgers Newark with 12 points while Kenya Brown posted ten of his own. Brown also led the Scarlet Raiders with eight rebounds. The team shot 36% (16-44) from the floor, 30% (4-13) from the three-point line and 66% (10-15) from the free throw line. Â
