Christopher Moseley led the Ramapo College men's basketball team over Kean University today at the Bradley Center, 96-62. The Roadrunners extended their win streak to eight straight, improving to 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the NJAC. The Cougars now stand at 0-8 overall, 0-5 in the conference.
Moseley led both teams with 21 points, as he was 8-10 from the floor, 3-3 from the three-point line and 2-2 from the charity stripe.
Thomas Bonacum posted 15 points, five assists and a team high three steals.
Sultan Aminu collected 12 points while
Josh Ford and Solomon Pierre posted eight and seven points respectively. Ramap shot 59% from the field (35-59), 52% from the three-point line (9-17) and 68% (17-25) from the free throw line. Ramapo out rebounded the Cougars 36-21.
Mike Summerer led Kean with 18 points while Justin Watson collected 16 points of his own and Micah Kerr tallied 13 points including 7-8 from the free throw line. The Cougars shot 45% from the floor (22-48), 32% from the three-point line (8-25) and 71% (10-14) from the free throw line.
The Roadrunners jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first half before Kean got on the board with 13:01 on the clock on a jumper from Summerer. Kean would cut the lead to five, 17-12, with a three from Watson before Ramapo extended the lead back to 14. Moseley and Bonacum nailed back-to-back three-pointers with 5:15 left to play in the half for a 38-24 lead. Ramapo went into halftime up 49-29.
Ramapo held a 20+point lead for the first seven minutes of the half before they took a 31-point lead on a jumper from
Cory Soanes. Late in the second half, Ramapo posted their biggest lead of the game 93-56 following a jumper from
Kindel Cuttino as the Roadrunners cruised to a 96-62 NJAC win.
The Roadrunners return to action on December 15th when they travel to Farmingdale State for a non-conference matchup at 7:30pm. The game will be played at the College of Old Westbury.
