MOSELEY, AMINU LEAD RAMAPO IN NINTH STRAIGHT WIN

Old Westbury, NY:  The Ramapo College men's basketball team improved to 9-0 overall with their ninth straight win tonight on the road over Farmingdale State College 88-73. The Rams even their overall record at 4-4.

The Rams scored the first basket of the game for a quick 3-0 lead (18:09) before Ramapo went on a 6-0 run to go up four 7-3. The run was capped off with a three-pointer from James Long off a dish from Christopher Moseley. Farmingdale tied the game with 16 minutes on the clock off a layup from Ali Mableton 7-7 before Nick Stanek put the Roadrunners up for good with a made basket for a 9-7 lead. Ramapo took their first double-digit lead in the half 19-9 on a dunk from Moseley while Patrick Peterson sank back-to-back baskets to extend the lead 39-10 with just under six minutes left in the half. The Rams shrunk the Ramapo lead to ten 43-33 at the close of the first half when Liam Monaghan sank a three-pointer with nine-seconds remaining.

Ramapo controlled the second half as the Rams could only gut the lead to nine two times in the half. A layup from Cory Soanes gave Ramapo their biggest lead of the game with 10:04 remaining 71-50 as they cruised to a 88-72 non-conference victory. Sultan Aminu and Moseley led the Roadrunners with 14 points each while Stanek posted 12 points and nine rebounds. Josh Ford tallied four points while Thomas Bonacum dished out a team high nine assists while he contributed with ten points and seven rebounds. The team shot 54% (32-59) from the field, 28% (2-7) from beyond the three-point line and 68% (22-32) from the free throw line. The Roadrunner defense caused 31 Ram turnovers that resulted in 37 points for Ramapo.

Monaghan led both teams with 19 points while Ryan Kennedy and Matthew Graham posted 12 and ten points respectively. The team shot 45% (22-55) from the field, 38% (7-18) from the three-point line and 64% (16-25) from the free throw line.
