Wayne, NJ: The William Paterson University women's basketball team snapped Ramapo's three-game win streak tonight with a 70-45 win. The Pioneers improve to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 3-1 overall, 0-1 in the conference.

WPU started the game off with a three-pointer from Gabby Harris before
Bintou Berete put Ramapo on the board with a jumper off a dish from
Bridgette Buckalew. The two teams traded baskets in the first quarter while Berete would tie the game at 12 all with 51 seconds left in the quarter. In the second quarter, Ramapo took their biggest lead of the game with a three-pointer from
Samantha Rinaldi 24-17 as that capped off a 10-0 run. WPU went on a 9-3 run to close out the second quarter as the Roadrunner went into halftime leading by one 27-26. Ramapo shot 39% (9-23) from the field, 33% (4-12) from the three-point line and 62% (5-8) from the free throw line. WPU shot 28% (8-28) from the field, 44% (4-9) from the three-point line and 46% (6-13) from the free throw line.

It was all WPU in the third and fourth quarters as the Pioneers outscored Ramapo 43-18 enroute to a 70-45 win. Gabby Harris led both teams with 21 points while Nikole Williams added 13 points of her own. Alliera McCoy led the team with 12 rebounds. The team shot 41% (23-56) from the field, 37% (6-16) from beyond the three-point line and 60% from the free throw line.

Ramapo was led by
Bridgette Buckalew who tallied 16 points, including two three-pointers while
Jenna Harsh posted eight points. Berete led the team with 13 rebounds while she added seven points and three steals. The team shot 34% (17-49) from the field, 4-16 (25%) from the three-point line and 58% (7-12) from the free throw line.

The Roadrunners return to action on the road on November 30th when they travel to Montclair State University for a NJAC conference game at 6pm.
