Glassboro, NJ: The #15 Rowan University field hockey team defeated Ramapo College 6-0 in NJAC action. The Profs improve to 9-4 overall, 1-2 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners fall to 2-6 overall, 0-2 in the conference.
Five different Profs scored in the game. Skyler Pino put Rowan on the board with a goal off a rebound in the 7th minute (6:41) before Bridget Boyle hit the back of the cage off a pass from Julie Johnson (9:43). Myranda Christy put in the Profs third goal of the first half in the 24th minute (23:45), extending their lead 3-0.
In the second half, Boyle assisted on the team's fourth goal when Pino scored in the 45th minute (44:52). Abbie Tucker (53:36) scored to take a 5-0 lead before Jen Dean scored on a penalty stroke in the 64th minute (63:45) for a 6-0 lead. The Profs posted a 27-4 advantage in shots in the game along with 21-1 in penalty corners.
Emily Wisneski tallied 11 saves in 61 minutes of action for Ramapo while
Emily Kramer closed out the game in the net.
Stacey Faria collected a defensive save for the Roadrunners at the end of the first half.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host Neumann University on October 11th at 4pm.
