Galloway, NJ: The Stockton University field hockey team earned their first NJAC win of the season with a 3-0 shutout over Ramapo College. The Ospreys improve to 7-8 overall, 1-4 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-10 overall, 0-5 in the conference.
The Ospreys scored two goals in the first half to take a 2-0 lead. Laura Olbrich took a pass from Jacquie Fenton for her 11th goal of the season in the 26th minute (25:13) before Kellie Brining scored her third goal of the year off a pass from Alexa Massa in the 28th minute (27:53). Massa assisted on the third goal of the game as Jennelle Long scored in the second half (51:51) extending the Stockton lead to 3-0.
The Ospreys held a 13-3 advantage in shots in the game including 9-2 on goal. They also posted 17 penalty corners while Ramapo recorded one.
Emily Wisneski recorded four saves in the first 61:18 of the game before
Emily Kramer tallied two saves in the final 8:42. For Stockton, Emily Sorochynskyj recorded two saves in the complete game shutout.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host Manhattanville College on October 25th at 3:45pm.
