Elmira, NY: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team opened their 2016 season tonight against #12 Elmira College and #15 Mt. St. Joseph College where they fell in both matches and begin the season 0-2 overall.
In their first match-up of the night against host Elmira (0-3, 17-25, 18-25, 21-25),
Justin Feigeles led the team recording eight kills while
Jordan Elam and
Paul Close each contributed five kills apiece. The team combined hitting .129 with 26 kills on 70 attempts and 17 errors.
Mikhael Erushalimski dished out 21 assists and Feigeles led the team's defense with six digs.
In their final match-up of the night against Mt. St. Joseph (0-3, 15-25, 21-25, 25-23, 25-23, 9-15), Feigeles led the team with 14 kills while
Patrick Wixted and Close each collected nine kills of their own.
Nick Amos led the Roadrunners with five blocks while Elam and Close each tallied three blocks. Erushalimski dished out a team high 33 assists and Shickora posted 20 digs on defense.
The Roadrunners return to action on January 30th when they face off with Vassar College at noon and #1 ranked Springfield College at 2:30pm on the road.
