Montclair, NJ: The Lady Roadrunner women's volleyball team dropped a tough 1-3 (14-25, 21-25, 25-15, 22-25) decision tonight to the Red Hawks of Montclair State University in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match-up on the road. With the loss the Roadrunners fall to 9-5 overall and get their first loss in conference play at 2-1. Montclair improves to 9-6 and 2-1 in the conference.
NJAC Player of the Week
Larysa Iwaskiw led the Roadrunners with 24 kills on 61 attempts with ten errors hitting .230 while the team combined for 49 kills on 166 attempts with 27 errors.
Emily Guzman and
Rachel Selmore chipped in seven kills each while
Kaitlin Mac Iver led the team in assists with 32. Iwaskiw picked up 18 digs and
Emily Harris and
Kristen Behrens contributed 15 and 14 digs respectively.
Courtney Matlock led the Red Hawks offense with 16 kills as Kimberly Matlock assisted on 38 points. The defense was led by Lily Scanzillo with 31 digs.
Ramapo returns to action on Friday evening when they host Hunter College at 6pm at the Bradley Center.
