Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College field hockey team fell to Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham today, 3-0, at the Athletic Center Turf Field. The Devils improve to 7-3 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 1-8 on the year.
In the first half, FDU-Florham got on the board when Kim Davis tallied her team leading 12th goal of the season in the 19th minute (18:28) to take a 1-0 lead. The Devils scored their second goal in the 31st minute of play. Marissa Kowalskie collected the ball off a rebound and passed it to Alicia Grotyohann who netted her fourth goal of year for a 2-0 score.The Devils out shot Ramapo 9-0 in the first half while Ramapo goalie

FDU-Florham controlled most of the second half and scored their third and final goal of the game in the 64th minute (63:53) as Kylee Cintron tallied her first goal of the year. Kramer played the first half and recorded four saves while
Emily Wisneski started the second half for Ramapo and tallied nine saves of her own. For the Devils, Amy Defnet needed one save in 67:20 minutes of play before Samantah Rubin came in for the final 2:40 and collected three saves to complete the combined shutout.
Ramapo returns to action when they travel to #6 Montclair State University on October 2nd for a NJAC conference game at 7pm.
