Montclair, NJ: The Ramapo College field hockey team fell short to the Red Hawks of Montclair State tonight, 0-5, to fall to 1-9 overall and 0-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Red Hawks improve to 10-1 overall and get their first win in conference play at 1-0.
Montclair made it a 3-0 game prior to the intermission as Megan Roeloffs, Amber Haslett, and Maura Johnson each hit the back of the cage scoring their second, fifth, and fourth goals of the year respectively. MSU out shot Ramapo 16-0 in the first half and Rebecca Brattole went untested in goal for MSU.
Kailey Dalgauer and Samanatha Lisk added two goals for MSU in the final half to take the game, 5-0. Montclair again held Ramapo without a shot as they posted an additional 11 in the final period.
Emily Wisneski made 13 saves in the cage for Ramapo.
Ramapo returns to action on Tuesday, October 6th when they host NJAC rival WPU at 4pm at the Athletic Center.
