Purchase, NY:  The Ramapo College field hockey team fell short to Manhattanville College, 1-2 tonight in a non-conference match-up on the road.  With the loss the Roadrunners fall to 1-4 overall.  Manhattanville improves to 4-3.

Morgan Parsons got Manhattanville on the board at 5:57 with an unassisted backhander to put her team on top, 1-0.  But Kelsey Lawrence fired back just three minutes later to tie the game at 1-1 off a pass from Lauren Grosso.  The game winning goal would come at 16:54 when Nicole Fanelle took a cross from Rylee Mcguire to give the Valiants the 2-1 lead which stood until the final buzzer for the win.

Manhattanville out shot Ramapo 16-5 in the win and Meghan Hughes made three saves in the cage.  Emily Wisneski made nine saves for Ramapo in the full 70 minutes.

The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, September 19th when they host Vassar College at 1pm at the Athletic Center.
