Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team swept visiting Mount Saint Mary College in three games, 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-13) to earn their third win of the season. The Roadrunners now stand at 3-1 overall while the Knights now stand at 0-10.
Sophomore
Larysa Iwaskiw led the Roadrunners in the match with 15 kills while she added 14 digs, one ace and one assist. Junior
Emily Guzman added six kills including three total blocks. Senior
Cathryn Smart and rookie
Judy Errichetti each posted four kills in the match. Smart also added two solo blocks while senior captain Kaitlin MacIver dished out a team high 27 assists she also recorded three aces and four digs. Senior captain
Emily Harris led the team on defense with 18 digs.
For the Saints, Rachel Sabatini, Jen Hanley and Nicole Spinelli all tallied five kills a piece in the match. Kim Gries dished out a team high 19 assistes while Jen Gries added a team high 20 digs.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host the 2015 Roadrunner Invitational this Friday and Saturday, September 18-19th. Ramapo will host SUNY Potsdam, Ithaca College, Saint Joseph's LI, New Paltz, and the University of Scranton. Ramapo will take on SUNY Potsdam on Friday beginning at 4pm and New Paltz at 6pm.
