Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's field hockey team dropped a tough 1-3 decision today to the Pacers of Marywood University in a non-conference match-up at home. With the loss the Roadrunners fall to 1-2 overall on the year. Marywood improves to 2-2.

Melissa Choka of Ramapo who posted the first goal of the game to put Ramapo ahead, 1-0 just over five minutes into the first half. It would be the last time Ramapo would score as Marywood tied the game at 21:57 and took the lead at the start of the second half. Leanne McManus posted both the game tying and the game winning goal. She scored at 21:57 off an assist from Gabbie Bower before hitting the back of the cage at 38:32, unassisted. Cassie Stockwell added an unassisted goal and insurance for the Pacers at the 56:03 minute mark. The score held until the final buzzer with Marywood on top, 3-1.
The Pacers out shot Ramapo 19-5 and Ramapo held a slight advantage in corners at 8-6. Nicole Merrill made three saves in the net for Marywood and
Emily Kramer posted ten for Ramapo.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, September 15th when they host STAC at 4pm at the Athletic Center.
