Staten Island, NY:  The Ramapo College baseball team improved to 27-14 overall with a 15-3 road win at the College of Staten Island today. The Dolphins fall to 21-14 on the year.

The Roadrunners wasted no time as they scored two runs in the top of the first inning. With two outs Joe Venturino doubled down the left field line before coming home on Chris Werr's double to right center. Scott Peschiani then laced a single through the left side of the infield plating Werr with the second run. In the fourth inning Ramapo added six runs on five hits to take an 8-0 lead. Werr walked to lead off the inning before Peschiani singled. Both runners would score on a CSI error before Rafael Dela Cruz hit a ground-rule double plating Jared Ensmenger. Following a sac bunt, Brandon Berger plated Dela Cruz with an infield single while Berger later scored on an error in the outfield. Venturino plated DeAngelis with a sac fly for the final run of the inning.

Werr belted a two-run home run in the sixth inning for the Roadrunners, his first home run of the season, taking a 10-0 lead. CSI scored all three of their runs in the seventh inning before Ramapo tacked on five more runs in the seventh for a 15-3 lead.
